The cast from the hit FX series The Strain, press, and fans gathered to celebrate the show's upcoming home entertainment release. Press greeted talent on the red carpet to kick off an evening featuring an exclusive musical performance by Mia Maestro.
Throughout the evening in a hip Lower East Side lounge, professional make-up artists transformed guests into "turned" vampires with airbrushing and fake scars. Vampire servers passed creepy, sophisticated bites included "Worm Shooters" and pieces of "The Infected Brain." Infectious concoctions and cures were available at the bar sponsored by Reyka Vodka and Montelobos Mezcal.
A “CDC” Flash Mob surprised the crowd when hazmat-wearing agents searched the crowd for “signs of The Strain,” then busted out dancing. Fans shared photos from inside the custom built “CDC Biohazard Zone” photo booth over social media, while press interviewed and mingled with talent in the VIP lounge.
